Cardin Statement on the Deaths of Israeli Teens Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar, and Naftali Fraenkel

Baku, Azerbaijan  — U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission), released the following statement:



“My heart is breaking for the families of Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Fraenkel who received news of the tragic end to the kidnapping of their sons. My thoughts and prayers are with these families, and the Israeli people. Innocent children should never be made targets for violent agendas.”



NOTE: Senator Cardin is in Baku leading a delegation that is representing the United States at the annual meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA).
