U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin, a member of the Senate Budget Committee, today praised the Budget Resolution passed by the Senate today. He made the following statement:

“These are tough times for American families. People across Maryland and in every state are hurting. The Budget Resolution we passed today is a blueprint for strengthening our economy and investing in America. It defines our key spending priorities for the coming year like investing in the health and well-being of our citizens so that we can compete internationally, have a robust economy and keep good paying jobs here at home. Unlike the President’s budget proposal, from healthcare to the environment, energy independence to education, and national security, I believe the priorities reflected in this Senate Budget Resolution are the priorities of America.”
