BALTIMORE – U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement regarding the terrorist attacks in Ankara, Turkey.

“The terrorist attacks in Turkey are horrifying, deplorable, and must be condemned in the strongest of terms. At a peace gathering marked by hope and optimism, destruction and devastation resulted by forces seeking to cause mass casualties. The Turkish people are in mourning and during this dark period, we extend our condolences to the government and its citizens as they grieve for their many losses, nurse the wounded, and confront the regional security challenges ahead.”
